This post will give you a quick and very brief insight on how to do numerology to calculate your life path number for yourself and for others.
Why Numerology?
Numerology dates back to ancient times. The idea of how the workings of numbers play into our lives have always fascinated me- as I know that all of life is based upon mathematical principles and patterns.
I love to understand more about the people in my life- and one of the best ways that I do this is my figuring out their life path number. Finding out a life path number is SO EASY as has helped me to gain further insight and understanding about others around me.
How to find your life path number- Simple Form
Lets say that your birthday is January 10, 1981.
All you would need to do is add up the corresponding numbers as so:
1 + 1+ 0 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 1 = 21
you want to get a single digit so you would then add up 2 + 1 = 3
Your life path number is 3.
If you were born January 1, 1980 you would add:
1 + 1+ 0 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 = 20
In this case your life path is 2.
The life path numbers go from 1 through to 9, so you cannot have a number greater than 9 or less than 1.
This is the simplest form of numerology that a person can do to discover their life path number.
What do these numbers mean?
1 – Creativity and Confidence
2 – Cooperation and Balance
3 – Expression and Sensitivity
4 – Stability and Process
5 – Freedom and Discipline
6 – Vision and Acceptance
7 – Trust and Openness
8 – Abundance and Power
9 – Integrity and Wisdom
0 – Inner Gifts
No matter what our life path number is, we can all relate to issues surrounding each of the numbers- however, be mindful of your specific life path number because it represents special potential and challenges in your life that will provide deeper discovery about ourselves our gifts, and our life purpose.
For example, a person who has a number 2 life path needs to dig deeper into cooperation and balance to find gifts and truths that stem from challenges and issues surrounding balance and cooperation with themselves and with others (an example of this may look like over cooperating and then withdrawing, people pleasing, etc). Whereas a life path 3 will want to look deeper into any issues surrounding expression and sensitivity to find inner gifts and guidance as many life path 3’s have problems expressing their true feelings.
Of course, things can get more complex.
Digging a little deeper…
I personally like more depth with numerology and have studied the Life-Purpose System by Dan Millman which has a more thorough understanding of the numbers. With the above two examples, it would look like 21/3 life path or 20/2 life path.
Basically, the numbers that get to your final life path number are taken into consideration and help to facilitate the final outcome of the number. I recommend this book below to get a much greater understanding of your number.
Besides the life path number, a person can also look into the numerology of their destiny, their name, and their address.
Let me know what you think of this post! Does numerology interest you too?
